THROTTLEREVERSE – TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions govern the booking and use of bike rental services provided by ThrottleReverse through its website and other authorized booking channels.

ThrottleReverse bike rental services are currently available only in Pune, Maharashtra.

By booking or using a vehicle from ThrottleReverse, the customer (“User”) agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

1. ELIGIBILITY & REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

To rent a bike from ThrottleReverse:

The rider must be 18 years of age or above.
The rider must possess a valid two-wheeler driving licence accepted under applicable Indian law.
A valid government-issued identity proof must be provided when requested.
ThrottleReverse may request address proof or additional KYC documents for verification.
The person whose documents are submitted for the booking must be the authorized rider unless otherwise approved by ThrottleReverse.
ThrottleReverse reserves the right to reject or cancel a booking if the documents are invalid, expired, incomplete, unverifiable, or suspected to be fraudulent.

2. SERVICE AREA

ThrottleReverse rental services are currently available only in Pune, Maharashtra.

Vehicle pickup and return must take place at the designated ThrottleReverse location unless another arrangement has been confirmed in advance.

Taking a rental vehicle outside the permitted usage area may require prior approval from ThrottleReverse.

The customer is responsible for applicable:

Toll charges
Parking charges
Entry fees
State or municipal taxes
Traffic fines and challans
Other government-imposed charges arising from the customer’s use of the vehicle

3. BOOKING

All bookings are subject to vehicle availability.
A booking is confirmed only after confirmation from ThrottleReverse and completion of any required payment or verification.
Bookings are non-transferable unless expressly approved by ThrottleReverse.
The customer must provide accurate information when making a booking.
Vehicle model, colour, or registration number may vary depending on availability unless a specific vehicle has been expressly confirmed.

ThrottleReverse reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking in cases involving suspected fraud, invalid documentation, safety concerns, non-payment, vehicle unavailability, or violation of these Terms.

4. RENTAL PERIOD

The rental period begins at the confirmed pickup/start time and ends at the confirmed return time.

The customer must return the vehicle within the agreed rental period.

Any extension must be requested and approved by ThrottleReverse before the scheduled return time.

Extensions are subject to:

Vehicle availability
Additional rental charges
Confirmation from ThrottleReverse

An extension is not automatically granted merely because the customer has requested one.

5. KILOMETRE LIMIT & EXTRA KM CHARGES

Each rental booking may include a specified kilometre allowance based on the selected vehicle and rental plan.

The applicable included kilometre limit will be communicated or displayed at the time of booking.

Extra Kilometre Charge

If the customer exceeds the kilometre limit included in the booking:

₹10 per additional kilometre will be charged.

Example:

If a booking includes 100 km and the vehicle is driven 125 km:

Extra distance = 25 km

Extra kilometre charge = 25 × ₹10 = ₹250

The extra kilometre amount must be paid in addition to the rental amount and any other applicable charges.

The odometer reading recorded at vehicle pickup and return will be used to calculate the total distance travelled.

Tampering with, disconnecting, damaging, or manipulating the odometer or any vehicle tracking equipment is strictly prohibited and may result in additional charges and legal action.

6. VEHICLE PICKUP

At the time of pickup, the customer must:

Provide the required original or valid digital identification documents where accepted.
Complete any required verification.
Inspect the vehicle before accepting it.
Check the vehicle for visible scratches, dents, damage, or missing accessories.
Confirm the fuel level and odometer reading.
Immediately report any existing damage or mechanical issue.

Customers are encouraged to take clear photos or videos of the vehicle at pickup.

Once the customer accepts possession of the vehicle, any new damage identified at return may be assessed as having occurred during the rental period unless supported by appropriate evidence.

7. VEHICLE RETURN

The customer must:

Return the vehicle at the agreed location.
Return it on or before the agreed date and time.
Return the vehicle in substantially the same condition in which it was received, subject to reasonable normal usage.
Return all provided accessories, documents, keys, and helmets.
Clear applicable outstanding rental, extra kilometre, damage, fuel, late-return, challan, or other authorized charges.

Late return may result in additional charges according to the applicable rental plan or agreed booking terms.

8. FUEL POLICY

Unless otherwise specified at booking, fuel expenses during the rental period are the customer’s responsibility.

The customer must follow the fuel-return requirement communicated at pickup.

If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than required, ThrottleReverse may charge the applicable fuel difference and associated service charges, where applicable.

Fuel expenses incurred by the customer are generally non-refundable unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing.

9. RESPONSIBLE USE OF VEHICLE

The customer is responsible for the vehicle throughout the rental period.

The customer must:

Follow all applicable traffic laws.
Wear a helmet as required by law.
Hold a valid driving licence.
Follow applicable speed limits.
Use the vehicle responsibly and safely.
Keep the vehicle secure when parked.
Use the correct fuel type.
Immediately report accidents, theft, breakdowns, or significant damage.

The vehicle must not be used:

Under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or intoxicating substances.
For racing, speed testing, stunts, or dangerous riding.
For any unlawful activity.
To transport illegal or prohibited goods.
By an unauthorized or unlicensed rider.
In a manner likely to intentionally damage the vehicle.
In prohibited or legally restricted areas.
For purposes materially different from those disclosed at booking where prior approval is required.

10. TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS & CHALLANS

The customer is fully responsible for traffic violations occurring during the rental period.

This includes:

Traffic challans
Parking fines
Towing charges
Impound charges
Traffic-rule penalties
Other penalties resulting from the customer’s use of the vehicle

If ThrottleReverse receives a challan relating to the customer’s rental period after the vehicle has been returned, the customer remains responsible for paying the applicable amount.

11. DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

The customer is responsible for taking reasonable care of the rental vehicle.

If the vehicle is damaged during the rental period, the customer must immediately inform ThrottleReverse.

The customer may be responsible for repair or replacement costs arising from damage caused by:

Accidents
Negligent riding
Misuse
Unauthorized use
Violation of traffic laws
Intentional damage
Unauthorized modifications
Failure to secure the vehicle
Use contrary to these Terms & Conditions

Any damage charges should be based on the nature of the damage, repair requirements, insurance coverage where applicable, and actual or reasonably assessed costs.

12. ACCIDENT

In case of an accident, the customer must:

Stop safely and seek emergency assistance if necessary.
Inform ThrottleReverse as soon as reasonably possible.
Provide accurate details of the accident.
Cooperate with police, insurance providers, and ThrottleReverse where required.
Provide photographs, videos, location details, and information about other vehicles or persons involved where reasonably possible.
File a police complaint or FIR where legally required or requested for an insurance claim.

The customer must not intentionally provide false or misleading information regarding an accident.

13. THEFT

If the rental vehicle is stolen, the customer must immediately:

Inform ThrottleReverse.
Report the theft to the nearest police station.
Cooperate in filing an FIR.
Provide all relevant information and documentation.
Return any available keys, documents, or accessories belonging to the vehicle.

Liability for theft will be determined based on applicable insurance coverage, circumstances of the incident, customer negligence, compliance with these Terms, and applicable law.

14. BREAKDOWN

If the vehicle experiences a mechanical breakdown:

Stop the vehicle in a safe location.
Contact ThrottleReverse as soon as possible.
Do not authorize major repairs without prior approval from ThrottleReverse unless necessary for immediate safety.

If the breakdown is due to a mechanical fault not caused by the customer, ThrottleReverse may provide reasonable assistance or a replacement vehicle, subject to availability and circumstances.

Issues caused by customer misuse, accidents, punctures, incorrect fuel, negligence, lost keys, or unauthorized repairs may be chargeable to the customer.

15. HELMETS & ACCESSORIES

Any helmet, key, document, or accessory provided with the rental vehicle must be returned in reasonable condition.

The customer may be charged for:

Lost helmets
Lost keys
Lost vehicle documents
Missing accessories
Damage beyond reasonable use

Charges will be based on the applicable replacement or repair cost.

16. SECURITY DEPOSIT

ThrottleReverse may require a refundable security deposit depending on:

Vehicle category
Rental duration
Customer verification
Booking conditions

Where applicable, the security deposit may be adjusted against legitimate outstanding amounts such as:

Vehicle damage
Missing accessories
Extra kilometre charges
Late-return charges
Traffic challans
Unpaid rental amounts
Other charges permitted under the rental agreement

Any eligible balance will be refunded according to the applicable refund process.

17. CANCELLATION & REFUND

Cancellation and refund eligibility may depend on:

Time remaining before the scheduled pickup
Booking type
Vehicle category
Payment method
Promotional conditions
Reason for cancellation

The applicable cancellation terms should be communicated during booking.

If ThrottleReverse cancels a confirmed booking because the booked vehicle is unavailable, the customer may be offered:

An alternative available vehicle, or
A refund of the eligible booking amount

No refund will generally be provided for unused rental time after the customer voluntarily returns the vehicle early unless otherwise agreed.

18. LATE RETURN

The customer must return the vehicle at the confirmed return time.

If the customer expects a delay, ThrottleReverse must be informed as early as possible.

Late return may result in:

Additional rental charges
Charges according to the applicable rental plan
Losses caused by disruption to subsequent confirmed bookings where legally recoverable

Continued possession of a vehicle beyond the authorized rental period without approval may lead to vehicle recovery and appropriate legal action.

19. VEHICLE RECOVERY

ThrottleReverse reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to recover a vehicle where:

The authorized rental period has expired and the vehicle has not been returned.
The customer cannot be contacted for an unreasonable period.
Payments remain materially overdue.
The vehicle is being used illegally.
There is a serious violation of these Terms.
There is a reasonable risk of theft, fraud, or significant damage.

The customer may be responsible for reasonable recovery costs where recovery becomes necessary because of the customer’s breach.

20. PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Customers are responsible for their personal belongings.

ThrottleReverse is not responsible for personal items lost, stolen, forgotten, or damaged in or around a rental vehicle, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Customers should inspect the vehicle and storage areas before returning it.

21. PRIVACY

ThrottleReverse may collect and process customer information necessary for:

Booking management
Identity and driving licence verification
Payments
Customer support
Vehicle security
Fraud prevention
Legal compliance
Service improvement

Personal information will be handled according to the ThrottleReverse Privacy Policy and applicable law.

22. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ThrottleReverse will not be responsible for losses caused by:

Customer negligence or unsafe riding
Violation of traffic laws
Unauthorized use of the vehicle
Use of the vehicle by an unauthorized person
Loss of personal belongings
Failure to follow these Terms & Conditions
Events reasonably beyond ThrottleReverse’s control

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict any liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Indian law.

23. CHANGES TO TERMS

ThrottleReverse may update these Terms & Conditions when necessary due to changes in:

Rental policies
Pricing
Service availability
Operational requirements
Applicable laws or regulations

The latest applicable version may be published on the ThrottleReverse website.

Changes will apply according to applicable law and will not improperly override confirmed contractual rights for an existing booking.

24. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of India.

As ThrottleReverse rental services are currently operated in Pune, Maharashtra, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Pune, Maharashtra, subject to applicable consumer protection and other mandatory laws.
